Merry Christmas!

Can you believe it’s only a week until Christmas? I think it comes around faster every year. I’ve got all of my presents wrapped, now to sort out the food! Keeping things simple always seems like a good idea, then we can focus on what’s important – our family.

Speaking of family, that’s the whole reason why we celebrate Christmas. We celebrate the birth of Christ, which happened over 2000 years ago and fulfilled many bible prophecies. God sent His son Jesus to earth to show us what He is like, how much He loves us and most importantly, how we can have a relationship with Him (and an eternal home in Heaven). The birth of Jesus gives us all an invitation to be part of God’s family. It gives us hope for a mind blowing future. It gives us a reason to love God, love ourselves and love others.

My prayer for you this Christmas is that you will experience the love that God offers you, and His amazing peace that surpasses all understanding, no matter what storms you may be going through at the moment. All it takes to connect to that is a simple ‘Hey God, would you show me your love and please give me your peace…’ it’s that simple.
