Happy New Year! Amy Harvey, January 16, 2024 I think that the beginning of a new year is a great time to think about what we are expecting for the year ahead. Something about the words ‘new year’ can prompt us to think about new starts and how we would like our lives to look. The old has gone and an unwritten year lays before us, yet to be filled in.There are a few things that I would like to achieve this year. I want to experience another successful year of homeschooling, where I see my children flourish in their gifts and grow in the areas they find challenging. I want to grow more vegetables than lettuce and stay on top of my garden. I want to sell lots of books and make people smile. I want to paint my kitchen and have a more minimalistic approach when it comes to the kitchen bench! I am believing for progress because I always love to be moving forward.Perhaps the most important progress I can make this year is with me; my character. It’s probably something we find the hardest to change – our attitudes, our ways, our thoughts. But the great thing is that we can genuinely become better people when we take a good look at ourselves and then determine who it is we actually want to be. Nicer, more patient, more loving, putting others above ourselves? It starts with the attitude of our mind. I hope to look back at the end of 2024 and see a new me in a few areas, what about you?
