I am always happy to give tailored author talks to various groups such as schools, libraries, clubs etc. I talk about my writing and publishing journey and make it both fun and informative. If you would like to host me, please send an email to admin@amyharvey.com.au and we can go from there!

During Book Week 2024, we had the pleasure of hearing Amy Harvey speak about her journey as an author and her first book ‘Fishing with Grandad’. Amy is an amazing public speaker. She has the ability to engage students, Reception through to Year 10, making connections with students through their own interests and providing information that is most relevant to their year level. We were delighted to welcome Amy to our school. From our youngest students in Foundation through to our Year 6s, Amy captured everyone’s attention as she shared her journey as an author and took the children through the process of creating and publishing a picture book. The students loved learning how an idea develops into a story, how illustrations are created and how all the different elements come together to produce a finished book.
